On behalf of the maritime industry in Norway, The Norwegian Shipowners' Association (Norges Rederiforbund) launched a two-year trainee programme in August 2005. “Maritime Trainee” involves some 25 companies in the maritime industry as a whole; shipowners, ship yards and maritime equipment companies, oil rig companies, classification societies, law firms, banks and ship brokers.

Maritime Trainee seeks to give each trainee a basic understanding so that he/she becomes capable of mastering numerous functions within the maritime industry, already at an early stage of his/her career. The trainees are holding a master's degree in economics, technology or law, from universities in Norway and abroad.

Talentprogrammet Oda er et faglig lederprogram for kvinner i IKT-bransjen. Det første programmet ble gjennomført i 2002.
IKT-Norge opprettet Oda-programmet for å øke andelen kvinnelige ledere i IKT-bransjen. Deltakerne utvikler seg som ledere, og flere oppnår utvidet ansvarsområde som et resultat av Oda-programmet.

Skal knekke karrierekodene: Forskning har identifisert flere fellesnevnere for de kvinner og menn som blir toppledere. Disse er blant annet trygghet i lederrollen, strategisk tenkning, tallforståelse, gode samarbeids- og kommunikasjonsevner og gründerinnstilling. Oda-programmet struktureres omkring disse egenskapene for å hjelpe deltakerne å knekke karrierekodene.

Selve programmet er bygget opp av tre hovedkomponenter:
1) Gruppesamlinger/seminarer
2) Coaching – talent/agent-relasjon
3) Faglig oppgave

Møter næringslivsledere, danner nettverk: Under programmets faglige samlinger får de kvinnelige deltagerne, som kalles “talenter”, møte næringslivsledere som eksemplifiserer gode lederegenskaper. Gruppen av talenter bevisstgjøres og utfordres gjennom diskusjon og rollespill.

Gruppedynamikken på samlingene danner også grunnlag for et nettverk som kan være særdeles verdifullt for kvinnene senere.
